Under 14 Girls - County Champions
Pride of place in the club this week goes to our U14 girls
who clinched the U14 County Championship title on Sunday evening
with victory over Clann Eireann in Silverbridge. Both these
teams have been challenging each other for honours over the
past couple of years but it was Shanes who emerged victorious
this time with a comfortable winning margin, 11 – 8
to 4 – 3.
This is just rewards for the girls after the magnificent
season they have put in which has also seen they qualify for
the league play-offs where they will take on Clady. Great
credit also to the U14 management team of Peter Lynch, Clare
Carroll, Freda Mackin and Brendan McGuire who have worked
tirelessly with the girls all year.

Seniors
Sunday afternoon proved to be a non-event for our senior
team when they opponents Collegeland failed to appear. The
Shanes team and the referee both took the field with the ref
throwing the ball up before calling a halt to proceedings.
Next up for the lads is an away game against Lisummon and
should the Shanes win that game they will be crowned Division
3 champions.

Meabh O'Neill's Camogie

Everyone at the club extends their best
wishes to camogie players Gemma McKeown, Cliodhna McAteer
and Orlaigh Kearns who will be representing Armagh U18s
in the All-Ireland final next week.
The girls have been playing well for the Meabh O’Neills
club all year and everyone at the club is rightly very
proud of the girls.

Running Club
The Shane O’Neills running club continues this Friday
evening at the club with the beginners club starting at 6.15pm
with the intermediates starting at 7.00pm. Anybody interested
in taking part is asked to be at the club for either of the
two times shown above.
